Your Coaching Experience

First, I’ll ask you to complete a worksheet that gives me a better picture of the novel you are currently writing, editing, or preparing to publish. I’ll also ask about where you believe your writing fits in the marketplace and your big goals as a novelist.

Then we’ll meet for four deep-dive coaching sessions. During that time, I’ll help you get clarity on:

• Where your novel or body of work belongs in the marketplace.

• Your comp authors and comp titles.

• Your hook or tagline—that is, how you describe yourself and your work to readers.

• Your logline (aka elevator pitch). You’ll be able to confidently tell anyone—from prospective agents and editors to book clubs to your seat-mate on an airplane—what your novel is about.

• Design choices (such as cover design and web design) that match your genre, sub-genre, and the current market.

• Your query or book blurb. From the rough draft to the polished-and-proofed version, I’ll do a complete edit that ensures your novel sounds unputdownable and conveys your brand and market positioning. (This is a $700 value.)

You’ll leave with a complete author brand analysis and personalized recommendations for your book and author career. I’ll also send you detailed notes and optional homework after each session.
