One-on-One Coaching
When it comes to selling your novel and creating a successful fiction career, support can be a game-changer.
If you’re trying to finish your draft, want to craft a stellar pitch to secure an agent and publisher, or are ready to uplevel your author brand in preparation for an upcoming book sale and/or launch, I can help.
My coaching combines proven publishing strategies and powerful, research-based coaching techniques. Together, we’ll address the beliefs, behaviors, and business practices that will help you reach your writing goals. As your coach, I’ll help you:
Create a plan for your next book and your author career. I’ll help you think bigger and recommend strategies designed to help you succeed.
Craft a brand that's as irresistible as it is authentic. You’ll learn to show up as the obvious choice for your ideal readers—without spending all your time on social media.
Increase your productivity without overloading your calendar or burning out. I’ll suggest habit-based, science-backed solutions to help you write more and find time for marketing while eliminating time- and energy-drains.
I coach a small number of one-on-one clients to ensure that they have my full focus. When we work together, you’ll receive:
Four months of face-to-face coaching sessions: We'll meet via Zoom for 45 minutes twice a month for a total of eight sessions. Together, we’ll work at your pace on the issues that will lead to the biggest breakthroughs in your career.
Professional editing for queries and marketing materials (such as your author bio and website copy): Pitching and market positioning are my superpowers. I'll help you make your novel the clear choice to the readers you’re trying to reach—starting with agents and editors if you’re planning to publish traditionally.
Detailed session notes and personalized homework: Reviewing past coaching sessions can lead to even more aha moments, so I provide notes for you after every call. Likewise, written work helps insights and strategies stick. That’s why I create customized exercises for you to complete between each coaching session.
E-coaching: You don’t have to wait until our next coaching session to get support or answers to your questions. I’ll check in with you via email each week that we don’t meet to see if you need help.

Why Work With a Coach?
The answer is different for every person, but I can tell you why I decided to work with one: because I was serious about creating lasting success.
Coaching was a complete game-changer for my publishing career—and to my surprise, it improved other parts of my life, too. I learned to work through uncertainty and indecision by asking better questions and finding clarity on what I really wanted. I beat burnout by taking control of my calendar, so that I always have time for my writing (as well as everything else that’s important to me). I figured out how to promote my work in a way that feels authentic. And that’s just for starters. I loved the coaching experience so much that, although my writing career was thriving, I decided to get certified as a coach so I could help other writers succeed.
Research shows that coaching works. When University of Amsterdam psychologists conducted a meta-analysis of 18 studies of thousands of people, they discovered that coaching had a significant positive impact on all measured outcomes, including goal achievement, performance, wellbeing, self-regulation, outlook, and mood. No surprise, then, that a survey from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) found that 99% of organizations and individuals who’ve worked with a coach say they’re glad they did so.
There’s something powerful about teaming up with someone who’s actively doing the same work you are.
Every single morning, I sit down at my desk to write, market my business, and build my brand. Whether you’re an aspiring author or entrepreneur or are already established, I know exactly what you’re dealing with—and how to make every aspect of the process productive and enjoyable, so you can honestly say, “I love my career.”
Coaching isn’t about gimmicks or getting someone else to do the heavy lifting for you. It’s not about toxic positivity, either. Instead, it’s having a pro help you identify the thoughts and behaviors holding you back—then making subtle but transformative shifts that lead to success.
If you’re ready to team up with someone who truly believes in you and can help you make big things happen, apply for coaching today.
