Are you ready to create a prolific and profitable fiction career?

Then I invite you to spend four months with me and a small group of dedicated novelists in the 2025 Career Novelist Mastermind.

If you’ve ever thought, I wish I had control over my writing career, good news: You do.

In the Career Novelist Mastermind, we’re going deep on proven publishing strategies that empower you—not gatekeepers—to chart your future as a novelist.

You’ll get a step-by-step plan for:

  • Matching your natural storytelling strengths to market demands.

  • Building a financially viable business as an author (whether you publish traditionally or as an indie).

  • Crafting an authentic, magnetic author brand—without spending all day on social media.

  • Finding readers and turning them into fans who can’t wait for your books … and more.

Of course, information alone isn’t enough. (If it were, anyone with access to the internet would be a bestselling author.) The real secret to success? Support that ensures you actually follow through. That’s where coaching and community come in.

One study of thousands of people found that professional coaching dramatically increases the odds of achievement and career satisfaction. What’s more, research shows that accountability from others who share your goals isn’t just motivating; it makes you more resilient, too.

That’s why this mastermind offers what nearly every writer I’ve worked with has told me they’re seeking: meaningful connection with fellow novelists. Need a blurb for your new book? Seeking contacts for a cover designer or editor? Want to hear from other writers who have been there, too? This community of smart, savvy writers will have your back.

My goal is to give you a rock-solid plan—and the confidence to pull it off. By the end of our time together, I want you to be so far ahead of the game that industry players ask you, “What’s your secret?”

Whether you’re working on your debut or your tenth novel, join the 2025 Career Novelist Mastermind and set the stage for lasting success as an author. We kick off March 7th.

Scroll down for details and to apply. I consider applications on a first-come, first-served basis, and cap the group at a dozen writers. I’d love to see you there.

Curriculum & Details

The Career Novelist Mastermind meets on Zoom three times a month from March through June 2025.

  • WEEK 1: 60-minute lesson on the monthly topic (read on for the full curriculum).

  • WEEK 2: 60-minute workshop to determine exactly how to apply the month’s lesson to your author brand and career.

  • WEEK 3: 60-minute coaching call. You can get coached on the monthly topic—or any other issue impacting your career.

We take a break on the fourth week of each month to give you a chance to put what you’ve learned into practice.

Meetings are on Fridays from 3-4 p.m. ET; the full calendar is listed on the bottom of this page.

All calls are recorded and uploaded into your personal membership portal, so if you can’t attend live, you won’t miss a thing. You’re also invited to participate in a private Facebook group just for members.

Here’s what we’ll cover:

MONTH 1: Write Your Roadmap

Tired of feeling overwhelmed by the myriad tasks you could or should do? I’ll teach you to focus on your strengths to make success inevitable—and create a clear, flexible plan for the next three years of your fiction career. P.S. You’ll learn to set bestselling boundaries, so implementing your plan doesn’t lead to burnout.

MONTH 2: Become a Reader Magnet

Selling novels isn’t about finding millions of readers; it’s about finding the right ones. You’ll learn to connect with people who love reading the kind of stories you write, and to nurture them with effective communication so they become fans who can’t wait to buy your next book.

MONTH 3: Sell Yourself (Without Selling Out)

Are you playing small and avoiding being visible as a novelist? You’ll discover the surprising reasons why you might be holding yourself back from success. Then you’ll harness simple but highly effective strategies for showing up authentically as an author.

MONTH 4: Go Pro

Creating a prolific, profitable career as a novelist requires an entrepreneurial mindset. (That’s true even if you publish traditionally.) I’ll share strategies for creating a revenue-generating business without stifling your creativity or spending all day on spreadsheets. Bonus: You’ll learn the habits of six- and seven-figure authors—and how to make them your own.

Cost: 1,900 USD

(or) 1,000 USD within 72 hours of acceptance and a second payment of 1,000 USD due 4/1/25.

If accepted, you will receive a welcome email with a link to pay with a credit or debit card via Stripe. You will also receive a receipt from Stripe for tax purposes. Always check with your tax professional, but author coaching is tax-deductible for most writers.

FAQs

  • The mastermind is designed for both published and unpublished novelists. That’s because the steps I recommend are essential at every stage of your publishing journey. (In fact, I do each workshop exercise along with participants during the mastermind—and the Month 1 workshop is how I came up with the idea for the novel I recently sold at auction.)

The only requirement to join is that you’re serious about upleveling your fiction career. However, I do recommend you have at least half of a novel manuscript completed so you know that you enjoy writing fiction (even if it’s hard at times!) and want to publish in the near future.

  • I don’t currently have plans to run the mastermind again in 2025, so I recommend joining now if you’re interested.

  • That’s completely okay. The mastermind is designed to be flexible—participation is encouraged but never required.

  • You will have access for a full year from the end of the mastermind (through 6/13/26).

  • Yes—that’s more than okay! The Facebook group is completely optional. Facebook isn’t our favorite, either, but we’re using it because it’s more accessible than Slack or Discord.

  • Yes, you are welcome to apply more than once. We have had a handful of writers repeat the mastermind to go deeper on the lessons and expand their network of novelists.

Here’s what writers have to say about the mastermind…

“Before the Career Novelist Mastermind, I struggled to figure out my publishing path. Thanks to Camille’s coaching, I not only found my path, but I also pushed on through to publication. Without doubt, the tools I learned during the mastermind and the generosity of others in the program will forever shape my author career.”

—Darci St. John, author of the Apex Racing series

“Camille is the rarest of coaches with her extensive experience in the writing business. She challenges old habits and stories that aren't serving you and encourages a mindset that changes the trajectory of your career and your life. Any issue or problem you bring to the sessions will be met with honest assessment, compassion, and professionalism. I've accomplished more writing goals in the year I've attended her Mastermind sessions than in the previous decade. One of the best decisions I've ever made!”

—Suzanne Adams, novelist

“Whether it be her podcast, a focused workshop or the career novelist mastermind, Camille's data-backed, judgment-free content is engaging, informative, and transformative. She has much to offer at every stage of the author's journey, and I only wish I'd found her much sooner along mine.”

Rachel Stone, author of The Blue Iris

“Warning: Do not take Camille’s Career Novelist Mastermind if you want everything in your life to stay the same. Since I signed on, it’s like all areas of my life are on steroids. Camille’s calm and positive approach empowers me to see myself as a career author, and that enables me to take the steps to get there. My mindset has shifted from an aspiring novelist who dreams big, to an emerging author with a newsletter and workshops. Those last two undertakings would not exist if it weren’t for Camille gently reminding me on a weekly basis, that yes, I can and deserve to be a career novelist.”

Marta Lane, novelist and writing coach

“The Career Novelist Mastermind has been the single best investment I've made in my author career. It's taught me so many valuable strategies for consistency, growth, and mindset. It was precisely what I needed at this stage of my career, and I recommend it to any author who wants to level up her career.”

—Lauren Faulkenberry, award-winning author

“Working with Camille has given me the motivation to pursue publication of my novels, the skillset to market myself, and most importantly the belief that I can take on this career. Camille knows exactly what writers need to hear and work on to be successful in this business, and my time in her Mastermind has been invaluable.”

—Suzanne Junered, novelist

“The Career Novelist Mastermind is like therapy for your writing career: you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll learn more than you thought possible—not only about the business side, but about yourself. Camille gently guides you into a deeper, clearer understanding of what you really want, which is invaluable when it comes time to actually make things happen with the strategy bits.”
